Who does Nature’s Smiles work with?

Nature’s Smiles is a locally owned dental laboratory that partners with dentists and dental practices across Utah and surrounding states. We fabricate removable prosthetics, implant-retained restorations, orthodontic appliances, and splints for your patients — we do not treat patients directly.

How do I open an account and send my first case?

Call (385) 347-4069, email clearfield@naturessmiles.com, or send your details through our contact form, and we will set your practice up, confirm how you would like cases collected, and walk through the first prescription with you. There is no minimum case volume to open an account.

What do you need from me to start a case?

Accepted Answer

Most cases start with a doctor-provided impression or model, a bite registration where the case needs one, a shade, and a written prescription describing the appliance. If your practice works from intraoral scans, call the lab before you send files so we can confirm what we can accept for that particular case.

Question 4

How fast is turnaround, and can you rush a case?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround depends on the appliance and on how many try-in stages the case needs. Same-day service is available for the cases that cannot wait — emergency flippers, repairs, and relines. Rush charges can apply, and we tell you before we start. Send us a specific case and we will give you a date.

Do you pick cases up, or do I ship them?

Both. Our local service area is Davis and Weber County, Utah, where we pick cases up in person and can schedule a consultation. Outside that area, shipping works in both directions — we accept and return cases anywhere in the country, and currently work with practices as far away as Montana and Missouri.

Do you offer same-day service?

Yes. As a local lab with our own bench team, we offer same-day service for cases that cannot wait — such as emergency flippers, repairs, and relines. Call before you send the case and we will tell you honestly whether it can go home with the patient today.

How does your pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Our published price list covers every product we make, so you can quote a patient before the case leaves your office. Flagship products such as the Premium Denture and the flexible partial are billed as one flat rate per arch rather than a stack of line items.

Question 8

What is included in the published price, and what is billed as an add-on?

Accepted Answer

The published price covers fabrication of the appliance itself, including the wax try-in on denture cases. Add-ons are listed separately on the price list — Soft Seal, name in denture, custom trays, clasps, reinforcement, and implant components — and case-dependent items such as rush charges, special-order parts, implant labor, and additional try-ins are quoted before we begin.

What happens if an appliance needs an adjustment or a remake?

Our local service area is Davis and Weber County, Utah, where our Clearfield lab offers in-person consultations and case pickups. We also accept and ship cases for dentists anywhere in the country — we currently work with practices as far away as Montana and Missouri, so tell us where your practice is and we will sort out collection.

Do you make night guards?

Yes. We fabricate hard acrylic bruxism guards, dual-laminate and nylon flex guards, Astron and hard/soft clear splints, neuromuscular orthotics, and NTI deprogrammers under splint therapy. Every one of them carries a published price.

Question 12

Which night guard or splint should I prescribe?

Accepted Answer

A hard acrylic bruxism guard suits heavy grinders. Dual laminate pairs a soft inner surface with a hard outer shell for patients who find acrylic uncomfortable. Nylon flex is the thinnest option. When the goal is repositioning rather than protection, a neuromuscular orthotic or hard/soft clear splint is usually the better call — send us the case and we will talk it through.

Can you make a metal-free partial?

Yes, two ways. A flexible partial is injection-molded thermoplastic nylon with no metal at all and no visible clasp arms. A Visiclear framework is the metal-free alternative to a cast chrome partial, priced in addition to the acrylic partial.

Question 14

How do I choose between a flexible partial and a cast chrome framework?

A flexible partial is the esthetic choice for shorter spans and for patients with a metal sensitivity, and it tolerates undercuts well. A cast chrome-cobalt framework is the rigid choice for long spans and distal extensions, where rest seats and defined clasp assemblies distribute load onto the abutment teeth. Chrome frames are billed per unit on top of the acrylic partial.

When is a repair a "complex" repair, and when is a reline or rebase the better call?

Accepted Answer

Multiple fractures, a distorted or compromised framework, missing pieces, or a repair that also requires teeth to be added are billed at the complex repair rate. If the appliance is intact but no longer fits because the ridge has resorbed, a hard or soft reline is the right fix; when the base itself is worn out but the tooth setup is still good, a rebase replaces the base and keeps the teeth. All three rates are on the published price list.

Do you supply implant parts, analogs, and surgical guides?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our implant services cover screw-retained overdenture and hybrid structures per implant, locator abutments, male housings, inserts, and O-rings, plus drill guides and surgical guides with sleeves. Analogs are type dependent and special-order components are quoted before the case starts — tell us the implant system when you send the case.
